Smokey Bear Historical Park
While visiting Ruidoso, New Mexico for the Intertribal Timber Council Symposium, I took a short drive over to Capitan to check out the Smokey Bear Historical Park. Very neat place with a lot of history including the original Smokey Bear’s final resting place. Below are some photos (sorry all I had was the camera phone!). Special thanks to everyone from the ITC, Mescalero Apache Tribe and Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort for a great week!
